Who We Are

At First Baptist Starkville, our Media Ministry makes the message of Jesus clear and accessible—both inside our walls and around the world. Through audio, video, lighting, livestream, photography, and technical support, we create environments where people can focus on worship and engage with God’s Word without distraction. Every button pressed, camera focused, slide advanced, and image projected is part of telling the story of Jesus and helping others encounter His truth. Whether you’re tech-savvy or eager to learn, you can use your gifts to make an eternal impact from behind the scenes.

 

When & Where You Can Serve

  • Sundays | Serve during Worship Services at 8:30 & 11:00 AM in The Sanctuary
  • Wednesdays | Tech/Media support for LunchBreak Worship at 11:30 AM in The Warehouse
  • 1st Wednesdays | Tech/Media support for The Commission at Noon in The Chapel
  • Wednesdays | 521 College & Young Adult Worship at 7:30 PM in The Chapel

 

Ministry Opportunities

Audio/Visual Production

Operate sound boards, manage microphones, control video feeds, and ensure the worship experience is clear and distraction-free.

Lighting

Help set the tone and focus of each service by running stage and house lighting systems.

Slides & Presentation

Advance lyrics, Scripture, and sermon slides so the congregation can follow along in worship and teaching.

Livestream & Video

Operate cameras, switch video feeds, and help broadcast services to those watching online.

Photography

Capture moments of ministry life for use in church communications, social media, and historical archives.

When you serve in our Media Ministry, you join a creative, committed team that works together to make ministry happen. We provide training for every position, so no prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, a servant’s heart, and an eye for excellence.
