Who We Are

At First Baptist Starkville, missions isn’t a program—it’s a way of life. Jesus calls us to “Live Sent,” carrying the hope of the Gospel to our neighbors, our nation, and the nations. Rooted in the Great Commission and the command to love our neighbors, our mission opportunities range from local outreach to global partnerships. Whether you go, give, or pray, you can play a vital role in helping others encounter the love of Jesus and experience the life-changing power of the Gospel.

When & Where

Mission opportunities take place locally, nationally, and internationally, with occasional on-campus gatherings for training and prayer. Schedules vary by trip or event.

What to Expect

When you join our Missions Ministry, you’ll see the Great Commission in action—across the street and around the world. Every believer has a role to play, whether through praying, giving, going, or sending. Opportunities range from local service projects to national and international mission trips. No matter your skills or experience, there’s a place for you to help make Jesus known.

Mission Offerings

We joyfully support missions year-round—including two key offerings that send the Gospel to the nations:

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering< – 100% goes directly to international missionaries serving through the International Mission Board, taking the name of Jesus to people who’ve never heard it.
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – Supports church planting and compassion ministries across North America through the North American Mission Board, helping reach neighbors across the U.S. and Canada.
Margaret Lackey State Offering – Funds missions and ministries across Mississippi, supporting compassion ministries, church planting, leadership development, and gospel outreach throughout our state.
