New Here?
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
Whether you’re joining us in person or online, we want you to know—you belong here. At First Baptist Starkville, we believe everyone is on a journey, and wherever you are in yours, there’s a place for you among us.
What to Expect on Sundays
Sundays with us are relaxed and welcoming—come as you are. Our worship services blend traditional and contemporary elements, with music that ranges from full choir and orchestra to modern praise teams. Each week is unique, but always centered on glorifying God through Scripture, prayer, and Christ-exalting worship.
You’ll hear Bible-based teaching grounded in truth, grace, and the hope of the Gospel. As 2 Timothy 3:16–17 says: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” (ESV)
We’re just a community of regular people learning to follow Jesus together. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking to grow deeper, we hope this becomes a place where you can slow down and have a real moment with God.

More than Sunday Services

Community Groups
Community Groups are where a big church starts to feel like your church. These smaller gatherings meet every Sunday at 9:45 AM and offer a place to know others and be known, to care and be cared for, and to grow in your faith alongside others. You’ll be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to live out your faith in real and lasting ways.
Not sure where to start? Stop by the Information Desk in the Commons (just outside the sanctuary), and one of our friendly greeters will help you find a group that fits you.
